Noticed this for a while now in Finale 25 (but not Finale 27) . When I use the tuplet tool anywhere on the page, a large white area appears on the top left of the page. It disappears with a screen redraw. Is this a known bug in Finale 25?

Actually the behavior of the tuplet tool is even weirder than I realized. When Zoom is set to 100%, the rectangle covers the entire page so the page seems to go white. Then depending on the zoom setting it covers more or less of page. I've tried it on both of my monitors set in landscape as well as portrait orientation and with different page view styles. The rectangle varies in each case. And it happens in scroll as well as page view as seen below.

A screen redraw or changing the size of the window or moving the page within the window brings back all the music.

I don't recall this behavior before I went to a 2020 G1 Mac mini.

Has no one else noticed this? As I said, the behavior of the tuplet tool seems to be normal in Finale 27. But I have other issues with Finale 27 and would like to keep using Finale 25.

I would rather not contact MakeMusic. I went down that rabbit hole several months ago with another problem that never got resolved and made Finale 27 unusable for older files.

I am getting the distinct impression that no one else has my problem. But then maybe I am the only one running Finale 25 on a M1 Mac, which I think is the problem, because the problem doesn't exist on my older Intel Mac.

So the question is, is it possible to run Finale 25 in Rosetta 2? I don't see that option in Finale25 Info, as I do in Finale27.

Finale 25 only exists as Intel code, so it can only run in Rosetta on an M-series Mac.

Finale 25 is not supported, nor considered compatible beyond 10.14 Mojave.

Finale 25 was released in 2016, with 25.5 in 2017.

Thanks, BuonTempi. That would explain it. It does seem to be OK except for the issue above. So I can live with it just for editing older files in Finale 25. I'll have to move on to Finale 27 for newer files.

Of course, it is using Rosetta already. I was confused because Finale 27 has the option to use Rosetta or not.
