In a Finale composition, I'm unable to move an articulation to a place within the staff. Is anyone here able to do it?

The articulation can be found in measure 30 at the very end of the measure (it's the number five).

When I try to move it upwards, it "jumps" to a position above the staff.

Open the Finale document, and switch to the Articulation Tool.

Now you should see a handle on the “pesky” 5 articulation at the end of measure 30.

Drag-select the articulation handle, and go to
Articulation menu > Edit Articulation Definition…
(shortcut: hit the Return key)

The Articulation Designer appears.

De-select the option
Always place outside staff

It's great to reconnect with the forum and also with Finale. The key combinations and shortcuts are slowly coming back -- so much that I can use some of them without having to depend on the Help Table of Contents and my own extensive notes.

I think you have great forum here!

(I tried Peter Thomsen's suggest about the uncooperative, pesky articulation, and it worked fine! [I put the correction in the attachment.])
