Good afternoon,

I am making sheet music in Finale using the Chroma-Notes color scheme. I am also putting the letters of the note names in the note heads using the AlphaNotes font.

When I go to apply the AlphaNotes font, Finale is putting the note letter names in either white font (for quarter notes) or the Chroma-Note color (for half notes and whole notes). This makes it somewhat difficult to read the note letter name.

How can I change the AlphaNotes settings, so that the note letter names show up in black font (which I believe will be easier to read against the various Chroma-Note colors.)

Thanks in advance.

My guess is that there are only time consuming solutions (sorry!).

You can add the black note names as shape articulations (or as shape expressions).

Or create PDF files, and edit the PDF files in a PDF editor.

Maybe you can find a 3rd party font that does what you need. Do some Googling.
