When I generate parts from a score I am noticing that some staves larger than others. Any idea how to correct this? I already tried resize staff but that doesn't work.
Thanks.
Thanks.

If I understand you correctly, you are talking about different systems in the same part - right?markgustavson wrote: ↑Wed Mar 22, 2023 4:31 pm… When I generate parts from a score I am noticing that some staves larger than others …
This is definitely not supposed to happen.
Two things to try:
1) Delete the parts, and generate parts again.
If that does not help, try
2) Document menu > Edit Part > (go to the part)
Page Layout Tool.
Page Layout menu > Redefine Pages > All Pages of Current Part/Score

That didn't help me. I'm attaching a part.

Seeing just the pat doesn't give enough info to tell why or how this happened. However the correction is easy but shouldn't be necessary.I'm attaching a part.
Did any other part show this behavior?

Since this is an extracted part, the document is not linked to the score, and the document in itself is (by Finale) considered a score.
Some of the systems are not formatted according to the default settings in
Document menu > Page Format > Score…
I assume that the bigger system size is what is needed (for better readability on the music stand).
My guess is that the smaller (teeny-tiny, hard to read) systems are some sort of “leftover” from the original score’s layout.
To get the bigger, readable, system size everywhere:
Page Layout Tool.
Page Layout menu > Redefine Pages > All Pages of Current Part/Score
At least this works for me.

Even so extracted or linked it got its instructions from the score. Perhaps some editing was done to it after it was generated, linked or extracted. Curious to know whether any other parts saw the same treatment.Since this is an extracted part, the document is not linked to the score, ...

I thought that might be it, but unlike page size, etc., adding new systems or pages seems to inherit the staff size from the last system, rather than that setting.Peter Thomsen wrote: ↑Thu Mar 23, 2023 4:51 pmSome of the systems are not formatted according to the default settings in

Any number of things could have caused it, but it sounds like the problem is solved.

When starting work on a new file, go to the Page Layout Tool and check the option "Update Page Format for Score". That will eliminate any size discrepancies within the score or parts.

… but remember that "Update Page Format for Score" is a program specific setting, not a document specific setting.
It might be a good idea to de-select "Update Page Format for Score" as soon as you do not need it anymore in the current document = before you close the document, and open another document where you do not need "Update Page Format for Score".
