We are creating a method book with pics, and every time we log into the project, the pics disappear.
So, we have to double click on the pics to "Select Graphic".

Is there a reason why this is happening? (or how to avoid it?)

As far as I know, Finale does not embed images. The only way to permanently insert a graphic in a document is to save it as a PDF document. You can print to file, without printing to paper.

If you remove the original image from the folder from which Finale grabbed the graphic, it will cease to appear in the document. The graphic will also be lost if you rename the image with your file manager, or if you import the image from an external USB drive then disconnect it. I keep the image file in the same folder as the Finale document. JPG and PNG formats work best. Finale does not like graphics in PDF format.

If you lose a graphic and do not delete the entry in the Finale document, and copy the image back to where you originally had it, the image will reappear in Finale. Any graphic with the same name will be appear.

au contraire. Right-click the graphic and select "Edit Graphics Attributes." Uncheck the "link to file" box and the image will be embedded. It will only be visible in page view, however, not scroll view.
