This unison is done with two layers and then nudge one of the semibreves to the right with the note position tool.

The two semibreves (whole notes) on B (flat)?
In the attached screenshot both bars were B and G: in the second I dragged the G up to B with the result shown (this is all in the one layer and automatically spaced this way by Finale). In other words: if you first enter a non-unison in Speedy and then drag to unison, you should get the result you need.

Yet another solution uses Simple Entry. Enter the first whole note then type 1 to create an interval at the unison.
