Is it possibile to adjust the baseline for lyrics in individual sections of a work? I've merged several documents, and the baselines are slightly different so I'd like to have them at the same distance below the stave. If I select a section and then go to the Lyrics tool, the section is no longer highlighte.

It can be done, but it may take some time.

You can not do everything “at one fell swoop”, only one Verse at a time, one Staff at a time, one System at a time:

Lyrics Tool.
Lyrics menu > Adjust Baselines…

You need to know, in what systems, exactly, you need different baseline settings.

To find out, switch to the Page Layout Tool (which displays system numbers), and take a note about the system numbers.

Many thanks, Peter. I actually found an easier and quicker way to do this. By choosing 'adjust syllables' from the lyrics menu, I was then able to select the lyrics that needed to be lowered or raised and move them down or up with the keyboard arrows.
