Finale 26

I have a score and have added cue notes to several of the instruments which are not showing up in extracted parts.

I am a very long time Finale user but have come back to it recently after a while. Didn't used to be a problem.

Thanks for your help.

If you've unchecked Options/Multimeasure Rests/Update Automatically and you added cue notes where there were formerly multimeasure rests, then you need to redo those multimeasure rests. Select them with the Selection tool, right click, and pick Multimeasure Rests->Create.

'thanks. I didn't add cue notes to the parts, I added them in the score and expected them to show up in the parts with the multimeasure rests adjusted. I'll try to find where Options/Multimeasure Rests/Update Automatically. Don't know where that is.

I did read the manual thoroughly.

Thanks again.

If you added cues in the score after multimeasure rests were created and that option is unchecked, you will have the problem described.

Thanks for all the help. I must have done something because the cues are showing up in the parts about 74% of the time. Inconsistent but I can work with this. I did go to options multimeasures and the box was checked, so I closed that up. Mostly ok. Can't figure out why it is inconsistent but there must be an inconsistency with the way I am either entering or saving. In any case, I can do this. I appreciate your help.

Where they don't appear but should, highlight the area, right-click, and pick Multimeasure rests->Create, and it will redo any that might be hiding your cues.

I would go to the Edit Menu > Multimeasure Rests > Create for Parts/Score (check all parts).

... which are not showing up in extracted parts.
If you are truly using Extracted Parts edits like additional cue notes will not automatically be edited in the parts. Use Linked Parts instead.
