I select several measures, select Plug-ins, JW Tools, JW Staff Polyphony, and... nothing. No window with all the options appears. Other JW plugins still work, like Copy Part. I tried deleting the JW plugins and reinstalling. Same thing. I toggled through all my windows to see if it was hiding somewhere else. I don't see it. Help? Thanks.

Did you restart Finale, or better yet the computer?

Only a guess...
Did you install the old versions of JW Plugins in your F27 version so you could continue to use the remaining JW plugins not yet built into F27? If you did - are you possibly selecting that version of JW Staff Polyphony from the "JW Plugins" menu group instead of from the "JW Tools" plugin menu group? I did that a couple of times out of habit, until I removed the duplicates from the JW Plugins menu. It then forced me to use the correct (built in) version.
That was my solution on a Mac - I have no idea if that could translate to a windows issue though. Hope you find a solution - I've grown dangerously dependent on many plugins and scripts and when they don't work, my productivity comes to a screeching halt.

I wonder if the dialog window is completely off the screen. Look in
C:\Users\Jsc101\AppData\Roaming\MakeMusic\Finale 27
substituting your Windows user name for Jsc101. AppData might be hidden, so you'll need to select it in AppData and unclick Hide Selected Items on the ribbon.
In the Finale 27 folder you should find a file called jwpluginprefs.txt. Edit that file and you'll see lines like
JWSTPOL_WINDOWX=1391
JWSTPOL_WINDOWY=158
JWSTPOL_WINDOWWIDTH=496
JWSTPOL_WINDOWHEIGHT=348
Try deleting those lines to get the default window position back. You can also probably just delete (or rename) jwpluginprefs.txt altogether to get all the defaults back.

I actually just got this corrected yesterday. And yes, your assessment that the dialogue box was off the screen was correct. Thank you. But I didn't have to change any mathematical values. I sort of stumbled upon what happened when I adjusted the orientation of my monitor. I can rotate my monitor, landscape and portrait. After I went back to portrait and invoked the plug-in, there it was at the bottom of the screen.
So it was my fault, in a sense, and I'm glad it wasn't actually a problem in the software. Although perhaps it could be programmed in such a way that it automatically appears only in a visible area of the screen.
Thank you, all, for your suggestions.
Jim
