Greetings all!

Here’s a problem I’ve never come across before. I added some cue notes to a second stave above my double bass stave and the dotted semibreves have centred themselves in the bars! I presume this is because of the one bar repeat signs in the double bass bars (because the positioning of the dotted semibreves is fine in bars 459 and 462).

I applied ‘According to Time Signature’ at Postion Notes in Measure Attributes to all the bars that needed the dotted semibreves moving, but when I afterwards applied ‘Apply Note Spacing’ (Ctrl-4), the notes went back to the middle of their bars again!

I’d be grateful for some help!

I am not sure what is going on in this Finale document, but here is a in idea:

Document menu > Document Options > Music Spacing

In the pane
Avoid Collision of:
de-select the check box
Hidden Notes

Would that work for you?

That doesn't fix it for me. But select the bars in question (whole stack) and press Ctrl+5 (apply beat spacing) and that seems to work.

Brilliant! Many thanks, Motet - that worked. I am yet again in your debt!
