I am seeking a solution for a chord problem. One staff has either 2 or 3 notes and I need to delete only the top note, regardless of whether the chord has 2 or 3 notes. I thought using Explode Music would work but there doesn't seem to be a way, at least that I have been able to find.

JW Staff Polyphony has a way to do it, by simply using the delete top note parameters. However, I can't get the proper syntax in Finale Script to set up these parameters.

Does anyone have experience using Finale Script to control the settings in JW Staff Polyphony?

I found a way to do it. By the time I'm writing this, there have been 39 views but no replies to the original post. So, unless someone is interested in what I did, I'll consider this thread resolved.
