Hiding layers doesn't

I'm using the easy tremolos plugin and for the sake of audio proofing, I'm creating playback notes. But hiding layer 4 only grays the notes, using blank notation on layer 4 does nothing to correct this - I still have a mess of faded blue notes cluttering up my work in progress. (It seemed before I had no problem with this - not sure why I do now.)

Actually - hp was reading the tremolos with no issue, so I didn't create playback notes. (Which doesn't help with hidden layers that don't hide, but it solves this immediate problem.)

View menu -> Show -> Hidden notes (uncheck it).
