I don't know if you'll feel any mental relief from what I'm about to share below, but I also quit actively using multiple uprade versions after Fin. 2012c (i.e. 2014 - 25.5) on several occasions. Currently I prefer to stay on 26.3. (27.3 I only use it for testing and to teach students.)
F.2012 is incomparably faster than all of the above, not to mention that it saves quickly, as is the case with all normal programs, rather than "digging" 4-5 seconds for a score of about 100 pages and nearly 40 staves, almost as much as a floppy disk 30 years ago. I assume that MM representatives don't read this forum or have turned a blind eye to this anachronism for nearly 10 years now, especially since the compatibility with previous versions excuse doesn't pass for serious at all (example: Sibelius, all Adobe products, etc. also offer compatibility with older versions, without hampering performance though).
So I can understand you, but the goal here is to find a solution, and in this case it is to try F.26.3 if the trinkets and cosmetics of 27.3 are not a vital necessity for you. I guess the license for f. 27 allows you to downgrade.
(Many years ago it was possible, at least when I routinely bought upgrades for Finale through Klemm Music Technologies. Thus, purchasing F. 2014 and being frustrated with the sluggishness of that version, albeit running on a relatively new MacPro with Xeons, MM's representatives in Germany assisted me in downgrading to 2012.)
However, in order to find a more complete solution, please describe the problems you face. There are a number of colleagues here who use the Win. version and they may be able to help you overcome your particular difficulties or suggest tricks for bugs.

Uh, much as I loved F2012 11 years ago, it is not compatible with any macOS version since 10.10. I'm currently on Ventura (macOS 13.5) and am just waiting for a few updates to the developer seed before jumping on Sonoma before release. So unless someone is going to continue to use a very old OS version and old hardware, F2012 is not feasible for most of us.
F27 is admittedly not perfect. Not at all. But it generally works decently enough. I'm not sure v26 is any better in that regard but YMMV.
Some of your issues could be with old hardware and a very old OS...

Whenever I read or see posts like this I always wonder what are they seeing or doing that I don't see. I was "forced" to buy a low end gaming computer when my six+ year old Dell desktop went belly-up. Why? That's virtually all my local computer store really had in stock.
A Powerspec which is a Microcenter store brand. Anyway it is ruining Windows 11 and I am running Finale 27.3. I know everybody is different and their requirements are different but Finale 27.3 and this Powerspec desktop computer work vey well. It is fast. The fastest machine I have ever had or used.
It has two SSDs in it and sometimes it saves so fast I save it again because I wonder did it really do it. If I had to come up with a complaint about 27.3 is the start up time even with this new Powespec computer. What in the world is up with that? I have left 27.3 running for days just so I don't have to start it up again.
BTW, I am not a gamer. I never play video games but I could!

Slow startup is also true on my 2018 MBP and way slower than most other apps I use like word, Reason, excel and even Pixelmator Pro. I suspect it is because I have a lot of plugins that Finale scans at startup.

I agree it’s not great. But it’s unusual to get bugs resolved via MM support. And there are much bigger issues to resolve than a lengthy startup.
