question marks on top of fretboard diagrams
Moderators: Peter Thomsen, miker
Hello, I am an infrequent user of Finale and hope someone can help me. I'm using Version 27.30.160 on a Mac using Sonoma 14.
Over the years I have made a large number of lead sheets/charts that contain fretboard diagrams. These lead sheets always printed properly and the fretboards looked normal. Suddenly, when printed the lead sheets I all have the same problem-the fretboard diagrams are obscured by question marks inside boxes. The fretboards look fine on the screen - it is only the print job or the print preview that contains the question marks. I am using the Jazz font. If I use Jazz 2 I do not have the problem but I do not want to have to go back and manually change all of these fretboards on all of my charts. Any help would be much appreciated.

What happens if you - instead of printing - use the Graphics Tool to export as PDF?
1) Does the PDF display the question marks on the computer screen?
2) Does the PDF print the question marks?

Mac OS X 12.6.9 (Monterey), Finale user since 1996
Here's an example - looking at file in Finale - fine, looking at preview in print to PDF - not fine. Printed version - not fine - this has happened to every chart I have - retroactively.

Sonoma has been officially released since 26 September.Shinohara 1027 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 09, 2023 5:28 amAfter all, Sonoma has not released an official version, and MM has not announced the adaptation information.
MM have released the following statement:

There may be other issues.
You should certainly inform MM of the problem.
