Hi

I just repurchased Finale after not using it for a long time, and I’m debating whether to continue using it, or use more user friendly notation software. Now, trying to relearn how to use it, I noticed that in the score manager, if I click on the Add Instrument button, nothing happens. Is there another way to add instruments? Or is there something I’m doing wrong? Is it a bug? Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks. I’m using Finale 27 on a Mac.

Michael.

There is no "bug" in the Add Instrument button at least in the Windows version. One of the Mac guys will be able to tell you if you have a Mac problem perhaps with the OS or a faulty install.

A click on the Add Instrument button should bring up a list of instruments you can add to your score.

This is apparently a problem with Finale on the new MacOS Sonoma and is being worked on. Meanwhile, there is a work-around:
