Hello all!
Short version:
What is the best method for migrating a Finale score to a new template/style?
Long version:
Over the years, I have written many hymns and Southern Gospel convention style songs. During this time, I have tried out various Finale templates and formats. I have finally settled on style that I like. The trouble is I have dozens upon dozens of songs that are in various templates. How can I convert or migrate these songs to the template/style that I have settled on?
I want to publish a songbook of my songs and want the songs to look consistent.
Any thoughts and ideas? I am sure that others have had this problem.
Thanks so much for your help!
Greg

There is a FinaleScript which might do what you want, though I have never tried it. Perhaps this, or a variation of this, could be useful.
::: Bill
//This script will convert a batch of folders to the newest Finale format. If
//the active document has settings that you wish to apply to all the files,
//remove the slashes on the second and third lines of the script.
batch process folder
//don't process current document
//import house style
save and append "_Conv"
close all
//End of Script

Thanks!
I have tried to use this method, but it does not work for me.
For instance, sometimes the song will have the credits at the top with the copyright at the bottom. Sometimes, the credits as at the bottom with the copyright.
Is there a way to make each document look the same in regard to placing the credits, margin, and virtually all of the other formatting?
