As you can see, I have a percussion part that is not saving correctly as a PDF. This has never happened before. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I suppose that the part displays correctly in Finale (on the computer screen) - right?
By your words “saving correctly as a PDF” you mean “printing” to a PDF file (from the Print dialog) - right?
You can also use the Graphics Tool to export as a PDF file.
* Have you tried that? (might also be a little faster)

Same thing happens when I export from Graphics. Plus, printing to pdf from the print dialog automatically saves it with the part in the file name. Graphics wouldn't do that.

Hi,
Exact same problem as you... percussion fonts look normal in Finale and turn out like yours did when printing, printing to PDF or exporting to PDF from the Graphics too. (I'm running macOS Sonoma). I came up with a work around that is a little tedious, but if you need it done, it'll work:
-Click on the Graphics tool
-In the menu bar, go to Graphics>Export Pages...
-Choose JPEG and "All" for pages. I put my resolution at 300dpi
-When you say OK, you'll get a prompt to name it and choose the location. It will repeat this for as many pages you have in your percussion part, so I named them "name1, name2, name3" on my 3 page file
-Go to the Finder, select all 3 jpegs and open them in one window in the Preview app
-reorder the pages if necessary (if you don't see the thumbnails, go to View>Thumbnails
-in Preview, choose File>Print (don't use export as PDF) and make sure all of the pages are selected
-select the print to PDF as you normally would
Hope this helps... not a long term solution, but effective!
