To me it looks an error happened, when your Finale document was uploaded.jose oscar wrote: ↑Sat Dec 02, 2023 11:34 am… When trying to copy and paste measures 2 and 3 of this score, it appears in a very different way than the original …
All I can see, is the file name.
There are two ways to create a pickup measure:jose oscar wrote: ↑Sat Dec 02, 2023 11:34 am… And there is another problem: I cannot choose a half-note pick-up …
1) Document menu > Pickup Measure…
(which does not play back correctly; you hear a full measure, with rests before the pickup)
2) Time Signature Tool.
Double-click the pickup measure.
Set both a “real” time signature (e. g. 1/8), and a “display” time signature (e. g. 3/4).
Did you try both ways?

Assuming you want to copy m. 2-3 to new measures, when I pasted it looked exactly like the original measures. Do you possibly have a filter applied? "Edit/use filter" should be cleared.

The problem might be how you created the tremolo in m. 2. I cleared the measure, put in two half notes, then ran the Easy Tremolos plug-in. The tremolo I got looks different from yours but I can't post an example. The way I did it copies correctly. (But note I am on a Mac.)

Thank you for your time all of you (motet, Bill, heizfan, Peter)
The error derives from the way I wrote tremolos on measure 1.
Once I rewrote them the way Bill Stevens told me I coud copy & paste measure 1 perfectly, and the rest of the score as well then. Then the route is:
1) Clear measure 1
2) Write 2 half notes
3) Select measure 1
4) Plug-ins menu/TG tools/Easy tremolos/Go
5) Copy & paste all the measures of the score
