Barline behavior

Hi! I am encountering some behavior with the program I can't figure out.

I am making a bilingual version of "Angels we have heard on high." I started with two staves, SA on the top staff, and TB on the bottom staff, copying out of the hymnal. Then I added articulations and text et al.

Then, I deleted the bottom staff and the alto part, so i could send a version to my church administrator for inclusion in the bulletin.
That's where the strange behavior happened. The barlines are all above the staff now, and they didn't just change to ticks. Somehow when the barlines are ungrouped, they move above the remaining staff. Here are a couple of screenshots.

If anyone knows how to change the barlines back, I'd be very grateful! Thanks!

To me that looks like a barline setting of Only Between Staves with a hidden system or something like that. Is there another system in Scroll View?

Open up the Score Manager (Window Menu). At lower right, under Staff, change from Other to Standard 5 Line. Why this was made an "Other" staff I don't know. I'll leave that between you and the pastor.
