On the attached file, I enter (Speedy) D, B, C, A, etc. I'm wondering,
what can I change to make it spell D, B, C(natural) etc, rather than
D, B, B# etc. (I know that I can correct it after the fact.) Thanks.

Set your enharmonic spelling to "Default Spelling" or "Favor Flats".

On a Mac, this setting is located in the "Finale" menu - it's titled: "Enharmonic Spelling". Mouse to the right and choose "Default Spelling".

In the file you posted, it defaulted to C natural using both the "Default Spelling" and "Favor Flats" settings. If it is set to "Favor Sharps", I get the B#.
Finale 25, 26, 27, Patterson Plug-ins, JW Plug-ins, TG Tools, Perfect Layout Gold, Keyboard Maestro, Adobe CS6 - CC, MacOS Mojave through Monterey. NotePerformer 3, Dorico 4, Sibelius Ultimate.

If you're unsure about all this, leaving it at "default spelling" or "use spelling tables" is the way to go. You can do the occasional flip with the \ key in Simple entry or th 9 key in Speedy entry.

I realize that, and sometimes that 9-flip becomes a bit of a pain when it's a long passage of, say, B-B#-B-B# etc. But thanks.

My point was about the Enharmonic Spelling setting.
