I tried opening it with Finale 2011, Finale 2014.5, and Finale 27. They all hung and their processes had to be killed, so I suspect your file was corrupted somehow and you're likely out of luck.

I don't have that version. You could try Save As to a different file and we can see if that somehow works. You also may be able to save as MusicXML (you'll probably need a Dolet plug-in). That would require clean-up, but would be better than nothing.

Do try the Save As a new file and put it on Dropbox. If it works, that's by far the best solution.

I was able to open the file in v. 2010 and export it to XML, then open and save in v. 27. The file is now only 317k in size, but still too big to insert here. However I'm assuming it's not complete - it begins with m. 1326 and ends at m. 1383. This was the same number of measures before I exported it to xml, however.
