Is there any way to increase the highlight color intensity in the picker windows? (Make the blue bluer, easier to see)

You can change the Highlight and Accent colors via the Mac's General preferences setting. It is not a Finale setting (in a Mac). There doesn't appear to be a setting for intensity. When you click on "Highlight Color" the bottom option is "Other". Select it and a custom color picker window appears. You can then explore other colors/brightness, etc.

There is a contrast setting in the Accessibility preferences, but this is also global - can really mess up your monitor settings.

Thanks. I played around with your suggestions and got even worse results. It seems that Finale is not "reading" the colors set in System Preferences. Maybe it's an expected limitation.
