Hello, I am not able to "unslash" a grace note, they appear by default slashed and the speedy shortcut to change it does nothing. In the music i trancribe often there is often an important performance difference between slashed and unslashed grace notes. I remember on a much older finale version (2008 I believe) this used to work just fine, but not lately and for sure not on this latest version. Did anyone find a way to make this work recently?

If you want slashed and non slashed grace notes in your score, that box should NOT be checked. You can then change the status with G or ; or with the plug-in (notes...) or with JW Change. Hitting the key will cycle through unslashed, slashed and the full size note.

The accent key will add/remove a slash from individual grace notes. I don't know about the Mac, but on Windows it's the key above the tab key.

Speedy entry, that is. But that only works if you uncheck the setting, as michelp says.

On a UK Mac keyboard the grave accent (or tilde with shift) key is next to the LH shift key, but I think that on a US Mac keyboard it is above tab (or below esc). Either way, in Speedy it will indeed add/remove a slash to a grace note as described above.
