A friend on mine sent me a doc. some of the chords are orange. Why?

Does it have something to do with parts (about which I know nothing?) The first three chords were in his doc. I added the fourth, just to see what happened.

I don't know why they are Orange,
but they do need to centered over the Note/Beat they assigned to.

The chords may have been moved in the part, so they are unlinked to the score, where they appear orange.

Thanks, guys. Oldmkvi, the position is meaningless. I was just playing with the chord entry.

I did a test and Michelp is correct, though in my case when the chord in the score is unlinked from the part it turns green rather than orange. I see in the Preferences pane there is a way to change the color of unlinked items so Mike's source must have done that.

I thought it might be that, but did an experiment and didn't see orange. I see now that in 2014.5 (my workhorse version) it's a dark maroon, which I didn't perceive as different from black, whereas in 27 it's orange. Windows.

And besides that, guys only know the colors they had in their crayons as a kid. Not being from an especially rich family, I only had the Crayola 8 color box. So those are the only colors I know!
