Plug in question

Hello, I have not found how to globally change the font for the numbers that the Number Repeated Measures applies, since every time I invoke the plugin a new set of numbers is created... Any thoughts?

For that very reason I do not use the plug-in.

Instead I edited the expressions created by the plug-in, and saved the edited expressions as a library.

When-ever I need to number repeated measures, I load my library, and use the expressions from the library.

I don't use it but it is done by creating expressions and placing them over the relevant measures. You would have to change it in the Expressions tab I suspect. Not the Measures tab.

Another useful tool for repeated measures (or even non identical measures, or drum parts) is the JW Pattern plug-in -> Sequences -> Numbered Measures.
A dedicated expression category can be created to define font, size, position of the number.
A "profile" can be created to attach the numbers to score and/or part.
These preparatory steps have to be done once, the plug-in remembers them.
The sequence always starts from 1 in the selected region and there are more possibilities available in the plug-in.

To change the font/size/positioning of numbered repeat text, try this:

1. Select the Expression tool
2. Double click on the first numbered repeat character in your music. The Expression Selection dialog will open.
3. You should find all of your plug-in created numbered repeats in the "Miscellaneous" Category
4. In the Expression Selection dialog - click the "Edit Categories" button (lower left)
5. Highlight the "Text Expressions" category (you will be copying this category)
6. Click the "Duplicate..." button
7. Edit the category name to "Numbered Repeats" (or whatever you prefer)
8. Click "OK" to confirm
9. Click "OK" to exit the Expression Designer dialog
10. Click on the "Miscellaneous" category name (left column)
11. Highlight all of your plug-in created numbers using shift-click
12. Click on the "Move To" popup and select your new "Numbered Repeats" category
13. Click "Yes"
14. Click on the "Reset to Category" popup and select "Fonts"
15. Click on "Edit Categories..."
16. Set your desired font, size, and attributes in your new "Numbered Repeats" category
17. Click "OK"
18. Click "Cancel"

The font attributes for your numbered measure expressions are now all controlled by the font settings in the new "Numbered Repeats" category. Changing the category font attributes will change all of the repeating measure numbers you have moved to this category.

Each time you add repeat numbers, you will need to manually move them into this new category, and reset only the "Fonts" attribute to the category.

I always wait until all repeating measure numbers are added and move them to this new category all at once. There might be other ways to gain global control of plug-in added repeating bar numbers, but this way works for me.

I second the suggestion of JW Pattern, which avoids making the duplicates; I found manually placing them one-by-one to be tedious. To get them centered, I suggest the positioning as shown below; "center between barlines" doesn't work on the first measure of a system. Units are EVPUs.

True, but “Center Over/Under Music” works on all measures - including measures that happen to be the first measure of a system.
Which means that you can freely push measures up/down between systems.

Which is exactly the point I was making above. You do need to offset the horizontal positioning by a small amount to compensate for Spacing Before Music and Spacing After Music. By default, this is -16e, as shown.

Wouldn't rehearsal marks do the trick? That way you don't have to pick every number separately. You may restart the sequence as many times you wish, I think.
To avoid the numbering to be shown in other parts (which would be in the wrong place for them), you might duplicate the category and skip the score list.
Motet's positioning seems fine.

Hm, seems like you can't skip the score list.
If you haven't too many of these numbered measures, maybe you could live with separate categories for each part in question?
