I recently switched from Finale's 'legacy' Jazz font to its SMuFL equivalent in Finale 27. I did this because the powers that be never got around to fixing the dotted-eighth rest-spacing issue (grrrr).
Unfortunately, the new font seems to have done away with several articulations that the original had - specifically, the falls and 'doits' (is this the correct term?). The original featured several angles of these, whereas the new font seems to have pared this selection down by a lot.
I am using the legacy font to reinstate the original flexibility, as the current articulations do not look good between thirds and fourths (see graphic). However, I am curious about whether Finale did away with this variety or I am missing something. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance for any and all constructive input.

Which fall/lift symbol is missing from the original Jazz font?
I think they are all available, but Finale has split the symbols into several different SMuFL sections.
Some are in "Standard", some in "Alternates & Extras" and some in "Brass Techniques".
If you search for the symbol name, Finale will list all occurences in "Finale Jazz".

Never seen this window before - thanks. Unfortunately, I am unable to access it outside the Text menu (which defaults to Finale Jazz Text) - how can I access this window with Finale Jazz? I'm on a Mac, so it could be a different process on PC.

In my own copy of Finale v27 the Text menu does not default to Finale Jazz Text.
As a matter of fact, In the Text menu I can select any font.
The sub-menu Font is at the top of the Text menu.
I wonder whether there is something wrong with your copy of Finale v27.
Mac OS X 12.6.9 (Monterey), Finale user since 1996
I can access this list - when I selected Finale Jazz in this list, I am now able to access the Symbol Selection dialogue box via Insert Symbol. I wouldn't have figured this out with you - thanks! (why is this process so convoluted?)
