I was running v27 on a PC with Windows 10 Home. The program was a headache. Will v27 run better with Windows Pro?

Thank you.

Too numerous to impose here. And some months back I spent days here with many helpful members but the problems persisted. I've concluded it may be the fault of this quirky PC, an Acer lemon--which now won't let me boot into Windows. OK, thank you, Bill.

I ran Finale 26.3 on a Dell with Win 10 Home and had no issues. I am running 2.74.1 on a Power Spec Win 11 and it has run perfectly so far. I run 27.4.1 on my Acer laptop with Win 10 Home and also no issues. I only tell you this so you can be sure Windows 10 or 11 is not the problem.

BTW, my Acer laptop is about 5 years old. Finale doesn't play well with sound drivers and print drivers. Occasionally not so good with video drivers. So my main best suggestion is to make sure you have all the latest driver updates possible. You can not let Windows do that for you although it tries, it isn't good at it. You need to go to the website of each and make sure you have the most current driver.

That's good advice.

If you're sure that Finale's misbehaving and that it's not merely unfamiliarity with the program, you could try reinstalling it.

Great minds think alike! :D

To Billy, I can assure you Finale will run perfectly fine on a properly set up Windows computer 10 or 11.
