Hi again:
For the 8va bass sign, how can I get the dashed line to start at the same position than the regular 8va sign? I mean, just about the middle of the "va"

Thanks again
Felipe

Looks like yet another problem introduced in a new version.

Change the "Octave down" symbol in SmartShape options to select the character with the va aligned at the top rather than the bottom of the 8. Since it's an abbreviation for "ottava," that's where it belongs anyway. Picture below.

"8vb" is a lost cause, but this bottom-alignment seems like something someone at MakeMusic made up. Or maybe it was the SMuFL folks at Dorico. You can also use a plain "8", which is legitimate (my preference). No one will be confused.

If you really want it, you can make a custom smart line:

I've always thought that aligning the line to the top of the characters (and to the bottom for bassa) looks much better than some random mid-point.

I agree with you about 8 on its own, though.

Yeah, but still how do I do the alignment?
