v27 Problem #42 I Think: Aria Player Error

What a piece of garbage v27 is. Unstable with problems almost daily. Spend more time in here than writing music. I have an April 8 deadline and v27 has caused me to fall behind in my work.

I've uninstalled / reinstalled countless times. I have the latest Aria Engine 1.9... When I open stand alone I get an error that says something about the wrong driver. When I try to get trumpet bucket mute form JABB I get this error:

Thank you.

That error suggests that the JABB samples aren't installed; or at least, they aren't in the place where ARIA is looking for them.

Follow the instructions here to check where ARIA is looking for the files; and then check that the JABB samples are in the same place.

Thank you but I've never ever had to do this all these years. And I see I have to do this procedure 54 times? This v27 is bullfeces junk if I gotta go though this nonsense to use it.

Data says value not set. Instructions say match the current location of the library's samples folder.
Click OK. How do I do that, please.

This is maybe the most important project of my life because it will be featured on a grammy nominated friend's cd, and I can't even get out f the gate with just a week before deadline.

Thank you sincerely.

You should only have to do it once for the entire JABB library. At worst, you would have to do it once for each additional Garritan library.

If you can't find the JABB samples anywhere on your disk, then you may have to reinstall JABB.

Thank you. It's telling me there's a part of this procedure, editing the registry, that has to be done 54 times. In all my decades with Finale I've never had to do something so ridiculous. Like I say, it's a new problem every other day with v27. Things were so smooth for over a decade with Finale 2012 on a Windows 8 PC, no less. This is all I have left in life, and this v27 continues to torment me. I believe it is cursed.

Maybe you should go back to Finale 2012.

I wiped everything Finale off this PC and reinstalled. Got the library and everything. But now even more problems...

That's a bit bleak! I sincerely hope that's not the case!

At the least, you could send a support ticket in to MM, who need to be aware of problems that people are having. That said, you do seem to be unusually unlucky in your experience.

Right. Yes, good idea. I'll do that.

Billy it (Finale 27) will work and it will work well. Plus you don't have to do special tasks 54 times. If I may suggest, do you have a computer savvy person that could come by and make sure the installation is done correctly?

Everything is going smoothly now--or I should say for the time being. Aria and Aria 64x stand alone open with an error message, but I don't use it. Aria won't work but Aria Multi works great. I have completed the project. Thank you for all your help. Nice to meet ya too.
