Hi there!
Does anybody know how I can set my measure width (in Finale 2014) immutably to e.g. 1.35 inches so that when I exit Speedy Entry the measures to the right in the stave don't squash to next to nothing or disappear altogether? Wasting so much time on this!

Sounds like you might have Automatic Music Spacing or Automatic Update Layout turned off. They should be on at the stage of entering music. At the very end of your process you might want to turn off Automatic Music Spacing if you're doing fine adjustment. Always leave Automatic Update Layout on.
