Paste problem with a nonstandard key signature

I've made myself a nonstandard key signature (Bb + C#, i.e. A hijaz) in order to save myself tons of accidentals in a piece of Bulgarian music.

When I copy an existing measure and paste it farther along (as there are lots of repeating measures), a courtesy key signature cluster appears in the pasted measure (B natural + C natural, followed by Bb + C#), which so far I can't remove. I have the document set to "hide courtesy key signatures". In addition, the pasted measure is also bracketed with double barlines, and the combination of these two odd behaviors feels like a bug to me. But perhaps instead I missed a subtlety of the nonstandard key signature process.

This is Finale 27.4.1.146 on MacOS Monterey 12.7.6.

Suggestions?
David

I can't say I've had experience with nonstandard key signatures, but check the copy filter and make sure "Copy clefs: always" is selected.

Aha! I removed "key signatures" from the copy filter and that did the trick! No more spurious courtesy key signatures! Thank you for introducing me to the copy filter.

Oh, good! (Silly me, I confused clefs and key signatures!)
