Go to Document Options
Time Signature
Uncheck "display courtesy time signature at end of staff system"

Now I would like to remove a courtesy time signature from only one staff (which is currently hidden).

How do I do that?

In this case, you should be able to "use a different time signature for display", as follows:

1. Time Signature tool
2. Double click on bar which changes time.
3. Click on Options>> button.
4. Check "Use a different time signature for display"
5. Enter the time signature from the previous bar.

The courtesy time signature should then disappear.

Use the measure tool, there you can stop the courtesy time signature for one measure only.

Ignacio,

If I understand you correctly, you need to hide the courtesy time signature in one staff only, while the other staves display the courtesy time signature.

There are several solutions, but only this solution will work in all cases:

Hide the courtesy time signature with a page assigned text block.

Make the text block opaque by giving it a "background shape" that you create in the Shape Designer:
Create a rectangle with zero Line Thickness, and Fill the rectangle with White.

In order for this to work, there must be at least one text character in the text block.
I suggest that you use a space character as text block text.
