I inadvertently changed a staff style, and the chord symbols in both the bass and tenor parts disappeared -- except when I click on a measure in Speedy Entry.
In neither Staff Styles or Alternate Notation dialog boxes can I locate a checkbox for "chords" or "chord symbols."
Does anyone know how to restore the chord symbols (with the slashes that were already there)?
the chord symbols are greyed in when i click in Speedy Entry

See if your staff style (slashes) has the "Show items attached to notes in other layers" chekbox selected.

Thanks for the suggestion. I have noticed novel things in the Staff Tool, and it's nice to be reminded about a necessary procedure for implementing chord symbols with Staff Styles.
