Is it possible to playback with all dynamic markings ignored? I've entering the dynamic markings in a score as I want them to print, but the quieter dynamics playback so quietly that I can barely hear them. If it's possible, I'd rather just have it playback at a uniform dynamic level.
Cheers,
Drew

I think one way would be to mute expressions, a thing that can be done in the instruments list window, staff by staff (you'll find expressions under the 4 layers and chords).
Or redefine the playback options of each expression so that there is no effect on playback.

A related question:
Is it possible to fine-tune accents and dynamic changes and such, controlling just how much louder or quieter things are? The accents are so grotesquely overdone in playback. I'm wondering if there is a way to adjust the % increase in volume, for example.
Cheers,
Drew

It is possible, but it is going to take some time :kdrew922 wrote:Is it possible to fine-tune accents and dynamic changes and such, controlling just how much louder or quieter things are? - expressions, such as forte, etc, : you can redefine the playback options of each expression so that they have the volume you want.
- articulations : any articulation can be defined to be at a specific volume (key velocity)
If you make modifications and are happy with the results, save these 2 libraries (expressions and articulations), using as a specific name, and load them in your default files, templates, etc...

I'm having, I guess, the opposite problem - I'm not hearing the glissandi I wrote in. If I set HP style to none, I hear one of the glissandi but it doesn't kick in until the 5th bar, even though I've wrote them way before that.
Any tips?
thanks!
