deleting Measures

If I select measures and right click a list of options appear but "Delete Measure Sack" is grayed out. I hit the delete button and nothing happens. Is it psooible some sor of lick is in place? Any suggestions?

Are you sure all the measures are vertically selected (double click does it) ?
