Rests won't disappear

I'm doing SATB hymn and starting adding the tenor/bass lines (1/2 notes for example) and the whole rests won't disappear on the bass clef. Please help -- thanks!

Verify this first : double click on the staff, you'll see the staff attributes window. Make sure that the option "Display rests in empty measures" is not selected.

I already did that -- thanks -- it seems to have been a bug with Finale.
