Hi.

Does anybody knows how to display timecodes on the score? I have to calculate some hit spots for a film and find the correct tempo of my piece, but I am not being able to find this function in Finale 2009.

It is quite urgent, so I would appreciate if somebody could help me.

PS:I do not have the movie in my computer, so I am not able to open it into Finale.

You can display the elapsed time at the beginning of each measure by using a Measure Number style. Measure Tool > Measure menu > Edit Measure Number Regions... Click on the drop down arrow on the Style box and choose Time...

To add to Peter's informations :
To sync music to a movie, Finale (full version) offers the possibility to import a Quicktime or a Windows media movie and sync the music to it.
In the window menu, select Movie and import the movie
Menu items you'll need to look at are :
Document : Sync and video options
Midi Tool : Tempo, Fit to time
Fit to time adjusts the tempo between 2 points to fit a given duration. Exactly what you are talking about.
In the manual, look for Movie window and Fit to Time window.

About the "fit to time" feature, one thing I miss : I would find useful if the resulting tempo could be displayed on the score automatically at every tempo change (for the conductor, for instance).
