HELP, i cannot find an answer for this and have been pulling my hair out!
I've got one layer in a 2-layer staff in the right key, but need to transpose all the notes in the other layer. Even when I had layer 1 when inactive, to transpose layer 2; layer one transposes as well.
This one has to be simple, but after 2 hours of searching, i cannot find any solutions.
thanks for any replies!

What program are you using, and exactly what are you doing? In the full finale, if I transposed a staff, both layers transposed.
Are you trying to use a transposing instrument on one layer, but not on the other?

If you use Document menu-> "Show active layer only", a transposition (done with Utilities->transpose) will affect the selected layer only.
