Does anyone know if it's possible to extend the secondary beam in finale 2010?
I'm trying to create an accelerando-decelerando group of demi-semiquavers, (20thC notation style) but thus far i can only connect the diagonal-up:diagonal-down on the top beam. the secondary beams are stuck with a gap in between the 'turning point'; if i force-join the beams, i can only attain a one-directional beam tilt.
Pls help me out with this, thanks!

It's explained in the Finale .mus document I attached below my graphic image.
To create this layout I didn't extend beams.
Instead, I added an extra note to the end of the first beam group, namely a very special tuplet - a "ziplet":
one 32nd in the space of zero (1 in the space of 0)
You can't see that the "ziplet" is a tuplet, because the tuplet is set to display "Nothing" for "Number" and "Shape".
This "ziplet note" isn't seen in the layout because it's "hidden" behind the first note of the second beam group.
The "ziplet note" only serves the purpose of making the beams in the first beam group go all the way to the next beam group.
I hope that this is clear?
If not, ask again.
