Using Finale 2010, I tried copying one line of muisc from one document to the other. In a particular measure in 4/4 time, there is: quarter note, 2 eigth rests, sixteenth note, dotted eigth, and three eigth notes. However when I copy and paste the entire line (159 measures), this partricular measure enters in wrong, messing up all meaures after it. The first beat and a half (quarter note, and eigth rest) group under a triplet instead of staight...why is this possible??

Are the last 3 eight notes a triplet ? If not, it looks like your measure has too many notes in it : one eight note too much.
