Play back only plays bass, piano

Just now, I only get playback from double bass and piano. Checked score manager, mixer, then closed/reopened, then shut down/rebooted, no dice. I checked several previous versions, no problem; checked other pieces, all playing as normal, so this is happening only on this particular score, and only from today (extensive editing going on all day.) Not sure what else there is to check.

Refreshing Preferences? Export/import as XML?

I've had this a few times. In my case, I had used the Score Manager to make those instruments Solo or to Mute the others.

Yeah, I do use mute/solo here and there for things....not sure if that's the reason for this now.....in any case, "refreshing preferences" did nothing in this case. I also tried, exporting as an XML file, then opening it, didn't help....but then I re-assigned all the sounds and now I've got playback again. Not sure what the issue was, but since it's a very rare issue, I'll let it go and hopefully won't see it again.

That's certainly the first thing to check. You might also try Reload MIDI Driver if it happens again.

Agreed, always the first thing I would check, very easy to leave something muted or solo and it's usually obvious. In this case it wasn't the issue, at least that I could see in front of me. I will definitely try reloading the midi driver if/when the next time this happens.
