Running Finale 2014.5 on a mid 2009 macbook pro OSx 10.10.5
Tempo jumped up to nearly double when playback reached a forward repeat.
1. I selected all, used edit filter to clear just Midi Data/Tempo Changes. Did not fix the problem.
2. Removed the one forward repeat. The problem seemed to be fixed until the backward repeat sent playback to the beginning.
From bar 1 it started playing at the randomly faster tempo.
3. Removed all repeats (forward, backward, 2 endings). The piece played my tempo from beginning to end.
My conclusion, which I am at a complete loss on how to fix, is that the repeat tool is somehow corrupting the playback tempo.
Any suggestions (besides the ones I've already tried) would be appreciated.
Also, playback of files without HP is so sub par that I wouldn't even consider that as a work-around, so if that's an
approach you consider feasible, you'd have to sell me on that first.

Re: Repeats affecting playback tempo
Human Playback, I suspect. Is there a fermata before the repeat, by any chance?

Re: Repeats affecting playback tempo
You might want to select Custom for HP and try deleting items until the problem clears up. For example, 'Interpret Harmonic Cadences" sometimes causes these kind of problems.

Re: Repeats affecting playback tempo
I had this problem on Mac Finale 27.3. On the second repeat, the tempo went to half speed. The solution was to correct the tempo setting in the playback window. For some reason, it ignored the measure one tempo expression on the second repeat.
