When I open a midi file in finale, edit it, and save it as a midi file again. . . .finale changes the tempo!
Is there any way to prevent this from happening?!
Please reply ASAP. . . I have a gig monday night, and I use midi as a background track!

Try this:
Add to the first measure an expression with playback effect set to "Play Tempo Tool Changes".
In this way the playback tempo in Finale should get transferred when you save as a MIDI file.
