When I play back a file, the piano and the bass sounds far too loud while I can't almost hear the sound of the flute for example.
Does anyone know how I can make a good balance in the sound between different instruments?
Thank you

Jenny

One way is through the expression tool : you can enter expressions with a playback effect. Create a text expression, find the playback options. Next to "Type", you can select "controller" and choose "volume". Enter a lower value.
Place this expression at the beginning of the staff.
These expressions can be hidden if you don't want them to print.

Another way would be with the midi tool. Select the staff or region and in the midi menu, "set to" : change the value.

PS : Version 2006 has at last incorporated a mixer to balance the staves. Big improvement.
