Hi,

I can't figure out how to get rid of all the initial MIDI data of a file like velocity, note duration, etc. The file was recorded with my Yamaha synth and then imported into Finale. In 'Document' -> 'Playback/Recording options' I have unchecked all the boxes ('Play recorded ...'). Then I have selected the entire score and hit 'Clear' in 'MIDI Tool' menu.
As far as Finale playback is concerned, everything is OK - I can hear the changes have been made. Yet all the initial data persists in the exported MIDI file...

Thanks for your help & comments in advance.

Finale 25.1.0.182 / Win 7 64-bit

Regards,
Paul

Sometimes MIDI Data persists using the MIDI Tool to clear things. Try the item in the Edit menu "Clear Selected items". Choose None, then choose MIDI Data. You can do all 3 of the items in the list at once, or try one at a time, whatever, you want.
