Having problems with GPO in Finale 2005

I have a piece for a normal string orchestra, but I can't get GPO playback right. First Problem: I can't hear the Cello's or Basses at all. No idea how to fix that. Second Problem: The Viola part skips notes and drops up and down octaves at certain measures not according to the score. On the violas, anything below a G below middle C is nonexistent. I get the G, then nothing. Third Problem: I can't figure out which string section to use on GPO. This one really bugs me. I can start a new piece for string orchestra and it sounds fine. But I open the first one I mentioned, and it goes crazy. Gives me every sound except the one I want, and the setting on the two are identical. Tried that Tutorial on garritan.com, but it didn't work. Is this a normal thing or am I just the one unlucky sun of a gun who got the broken one?
