No playback on Allegro 98

I am using Finale Allegro 98 (old software) with a Windows XP computer. All of a sudden I can't play back any of my scores. The pointer moves across the page pointing at each of the notes, but nothing comes through the speakers. I have no trouble listening to something over the Internet or a CD. Did I accidentally click on something that I shouldn't have? Suggestions? Ideas?

Generally a reboot cures that kind of problem.

I went into the Help files for a solution to my non-playback problem, but no help there. The problem isn't even addressed.
Are the Help files the "official" site that you mentioned?
