MIDI not playing Woodblock sound

I thought I had a problem when I started to create a new file (called it "SomethingNew") from scratch with Piano, Violin, Cello and a Woodblock part. On creating a MIDI file, there is no sound of the Woodblock. The Piano, Violin and Cello parts are fine.
On my Instrument List I have:
Vol : 101
Pan : 64
Instrument : Drum Set
Channel : 10
Prog: 116
GM : Woodblock
Vol : 101
Pan : 64
Instrument : Piano
Channel : 1
Prog: 1
GM : Acoustic Piano Grand Piano
Vol : 101
Pan : 64
Instrument : Violin
Channel : 2
Prog: 41
GM : Violin
Vol : 101
Pan : 64
Instrument : Violin
Channel : 3
Prog: 43
GM : Viola
I was sure that this was a new 'feature', so I looked at another Print Music 2010 file I created a while ago (call it "SomethingOld") that also has a Piano, Violin, Cello and a Woodblock (as a two measure count in metronome beat). When converting this file to a MIDI it is perfect and as expected. The settings on the Instrument List are the same as above. So, I clearly can create a file with a Woodblock sound.
Why can I no longer create a file that plays the "Woodblock" sound?
On investigating, here's an interesting 'feature'. The "SomethingOld" piece is 321 measures long, with two measures of Woodblock, a measure of silence and then a section that is repeated from measure 3 through to measure 115. If I keep the first part of the piece (that includes the two measures of Woodblock) up to measure 158 and chop off the rest, the MIDI file no longer plays the Woodblock. If I chop off from measure 200, 250 or 257 for example, it is fine. If I chop off the end so that it is shorter than 158 measures the MIDI file no longer plays the Woodblock.
The two 'features' might be related, but any suggestions?
I am operating PrintMusic2010 on Windows 10.
