I know that during playback, dynamics are ignored for organ samples. (I'm using full GPO is that matters) I seem to remember that one had to change the volume by applying various midi settings, but I'm not having any luck doing that. I tried using both velocity and #7 controller/volume (continuous data) but nothing changes. I have "Incorporate data" set under HP preferences.
Samples are set as "notation" in Aria Player.
What am I missing?
Thanks!
Changing organ volume during playback

So... I tried this and it (mostly) worked. A few odd anomalies but overall, an easy solution. I cleared all midi/continuous data, etc. yet sometimes it will acknowledge a dynamic (mp e.g.) and then jump back up to normal volume (64?) right after acknowledging it. But, by adding the dynamic again, right after the original one, it sticks until the next dynamic change.

I use Finale 25 and GIfF, and the Volume MIDI data works as expected. I guess I'll go back and test 204.5,

P.S.: I tested 2014.5 with the same proper behavior. So, maybe we need a file to test, or more information. Or, maybe GIfF behaves differently than GPO.

GIfF is Garritan Instruments for Finale. It's a subset of the full GPO. It comes bundled with Finale at no extra charge.

Duh. I know what that is but couldn't decipher the abbreviation. Thanks for clarification.
The problem with GIfF is that the organ samples are far more limited so that's why I prefer the F-GPO ones. (I've thought about getting the organ library but haven't pulled that trigger yet, but I assume it doesn't help with the playback problems.)
I want to go to Finale 25 but there are always kinks... this folder that needs to be moved to that folder only discovered after lots of searching for the solution to a problem that comes up, this library needs to be moved over there, TG Tools (do they work or dont' they?), midi settings, etc. I know this is routine for some, but for me is a time killer. Too risky when I'm neck deep in projects.
As always, thanks for you r help!
