Is there any way to get 24/96 on the Exports, or for general Playback of Finale?
The Computer ( iMac) is set for 24/96 and the dac I use will do it.
I have the Most Recent Fin 25 on Mac.
And Sierra.

Maybe Mac is different with this, but on Windows, I export the default, then open it in an audio editing program. I then convert it to whatever format I want. Maybe Finale has an option I can't recall for this.

Thanks Zuill-
I can use Audiogate for that.
Also I have players that will convert on the fly for file playback.
Still, real 24/92 within Finale would be great.
I think...

You’ll need to use sample libraries recorded at 96k in an app that will play back at that resolution (some do, most don’t). Many ways to do this.

Kontakt 5 can play 96K samples if you’ve purchased a 96K library. The included NI libraries are 44.1k last I checked. They can be converted but, like any such conversions, will generate artificial harmonics. There are other VI library hosts that will support 96k if there are compatible 96k libraries.

You can export MIDI or MusicXML and import into a DAW (if the DAW supports .xml import). With 25, you can sync a DAW with Rewire. I don’t know of a pro DAW that doesn’t support 96/24. Most process internally at 32k or 64k floating point (ProTools).

If all you need is to convert audio to 96/24, there are apps that can including any pro DAW. Don’t expect the result to sound better. Different, yes because conversion does change the sound but better? Not to me.

And then, when you downsample to 48k (AV) or 44.1k, you need to consider dither. Another topic for a different forum.
